Positive Psychology studies the optimal functioning of the human being.  It has identified the factors that facilitate fulfilment and well-being in people, families, schools, firms, communities, and organisations.
 
Based on rigorous scientific research, Positive Psychology - also called the Science of Happiness - explains how to develop our well-being, increase our level of happiness and develop our personal and professional fulfilment.
 
The studies of Positive Psychology made it possible to identify what makes us happy and flourish. They underline the importance of focusing on what works, using ones’ strengths, savouring the present moment, being grateful for what we have, and more. We have at hand an important amount of information, exercises and tips. They are easy to use and to integrate in our daily life to help us increase lasting well-being.
 
The great news is that each of us can increase our own level of happiness.
Positive Psychology addresses everybody! And it is also particularly well adapted to expatriates, facing specific challenges and stressful situations linked to their overseas moves, their re-settlings, their integration, the cultural shock, the loss of reference points, the necessity to re-create their own identity, the need to re-build a social network, or re-organize a support system.

Martin Seligman, a key figure in Positive Psychology, explains that for lasting happiness, we need to:
  • Cultivate positive emotions
  • Engage in activities we are passionate about
  • Maintain positive relationships
  • Have a life that makes sense, that is meaningful
  • Accomplish things, set-up objectives and reach them

Coaching is an excellent framework to identify your level of well-being and put in place efficient and effective exercises which allow you to increase your happiness and your personal and professional fulfillment.
